The Balvenie partners pewter makers Royal Selangor to create the limited-edition The Balvenie x Royal Selangor Collector’s Box, as well as special pewter whisky glasses for exclusive whisky gift sets.
What happens when two masters at their craft collaborate? In the case of award-winning single malt Scotch whisky brand The Balvenie and Malaysian luxury pewter manufacturer Royal Selangor, it’s a very exclusive, limited-edition collector’s item. Created as part of The Balvenie’s “Handcrafted By” initiative, The Balvenie x Royal Selangor Collector’s Box is the whisky lover’s ultimate mantel showpiece.
This special collaborative collector’s box is crafted by Royal Selangor using high-grade walnut wood, and encased in parts by quality handcrafted pewter. The pewter itself utilises Royal Selangor’s signature dimple design, created using a special hammering technique. The beautifully-constructed box itself can be swung open, revealing a moving cradle can hold three bottles of The Balvenie whisky.
The attention to detail and craftsmanship means each of these boxes takes Royal Selangor up to six days to complete.

Collaborating with a partner that places just as much emphasis on craftsmanship, it was only fitting that we chose to use Royal Selangor’s signature hand-hammered finish. Also available as part of the collaboration are special gift sets, each of which contain a bottle of The Balvenie whisky – 12 Year Old DoubleWood, 14 Year Old Caribbean Cask, or 17 Year Old DoubleWood – as well as an exclusive handcrafted pewter-based whisky rocks glass. The glass comes with a pewter base – complete with the same dimpled design as that of the collector’s box – that gives it class and heft.
The Balvenie x Royal Selangor Collector’s Box, available directly from Royal Selangor (here), allows collectors and connoisseurs can choose from The Balvenie expressions which are 30 years and above, with a minimum value purchase of £41,800 to complete their custom limited-edition collector’s box. Only 15 sets are available.
The Balvenie x Royal Selangor gift packs are available for a limited time on the William Grant & Sons flagship store on LazMall at S$125, S$163, and $235 for the 12 Year Old DoubleWood, 14 Year Old Caribbean Cask, or 17 Year Old DoubleWood sets respectively.
