Returning beer festival Beerfest Asia, which takes place at Leisure Park Kallang from 22 to 25 June 2023, will see its largest exhibitor lineup yet including a strong showing from Singapore’s homegrown craft breweries.

Beer lovers, rejoice! Beerfest Asia will return this year in its entirety and promises to be even bigger and better. Previous editions over the pandemic were largely limited in size and scale, but Beerfest Asia 2023 promises to feature more 100 booths showcasing over 600 varieties of beer over four days.

Beer enthusiasts will know that Singapore’s own Beerfest Asia counts as among the largest beer festivals to be held anywhere across Asia, and over the years has influenced Singapore’s beer drinking scene by exposing to the local drinker many beer styles and beer brands from across the world.

And while Singapore’s homegrown craft brewers have been gaining ground over the last few years, this 13th edition may be the one to see the strongest showing from homegrown Singapore craft breweries yet. Counted among the many exhibitors this year include brews from local breweries such as RedDot BrewHouse, Brewlander, Sunbird Brewing Company, Lion Brewery Co, Rye and Pint, and Alive Brewing, many of them award-winning.

These Singapore breweries join top-rated breweries from across the world such as Range Brewing (Australia), Mountain Culture Beer Co (Australia), Jing-A (China), Sudden Death Brewing (Germany), Young Master Brewery (Hong Kong), Vault City Brewing (Scotland), North Brewing (UK), among many others.

The Asia Beer Awards also makes its return to the festival this year. A judging panel – comprising esteemed judges and brewers – will assess brews across 13 different beer categories, according medals to deserving winners that will be displayed at the exhibiting booths to help revellers make better beer choices.

Complementing the wide range of beers will be a curated selection of food booths. Participating vendors include Luke’s Lobster, Gyu San, Quality Melts, Kebabs Faktory, and Hard Rock Cafe, among many others.

As with previous festivals, Beerfest 2023 will offer a party atmosphere with a music lineup include international tribute bands headlined by returning festival favourites Killer Queen Experience from Australia, local tribute bands The Unfortunate Sons and Peep Show, as well as popular homegrown musicians including 53A and Supersonic, stalwarts of the local underground electronic music scene Brendon P, Tony Tay and Kaye, as well as an all-female DJ roster with DJ Sakura, DJ Red and DJ Nicole spinning hard-hitting EDM beats.
