PERRIER celebrates the launch of its PERRIER + STARCK collaboration bottle with a hotel and cocktail experience at M Social Singapore.
To commemorate its 160th anniversary, iconic French natural bottled mineral water brand PERRIER recently tapped visionary French designer Philippe Starck to reimagine its signature green bottle.
The result? PERRIER + STARCK, a limited-edition PERRIER bottle. It’s still green, but Starck was inspired by the concentric rings of a Fresnel lens and replaced the bottle’s usual sleek curves with a ribbed design. According to PERRIER, the thin horizontal lines carved into the glass surface help to create visual interest through a play on optics and light that interact with the bubbles of the carbonated natural water.
This collaboration with Starck follows PERRIER’s tradition of partnering with famous creatives. Throughout its history, PERRIER has worked with Andy Warhol, Salvador Dalí, Bernard Villemot, Raymond Savignac, Jean Carlu, Jean-Gabriel Domergue and Takashi Murakami, each of whom have brought their unique creative streaks to play with PERRIER. It saw Salvador Dalí depict its water source in Vergèze in southern France with his enigmatic art style back in 1969, for example, while Warhol brought his pop art pizazz to PERRIER’s bottles in 1983.
To celebrate launch of PERRIER + STARCK here in Singapore, PERRIER is collaborating with lifestyle boutique M Social Singapore for an exclusive hotel and cocktail experience. M Social Singapore in Robertson Quay, of course, was similarly designed by Philippe Starck. From 1 December 2023 to 29 February 2024, the hotel’s Loft Premier Room will be emblazoned with signature PERRIER green and decked out with PERRIER paraphernalia. Guests who opt for the room type will be gifted with two limited-edition PERRIER + STARCK bottles during their stay, as well as an an exclusive DIY cocktail kit.
For this period, M Social Singapore’s flagship restaurant Beast & Butterflies will also be offering four unique PERRIER cocktails as part of their revamped menu.
“Philippe Starck is the first creator invited to glorify the iconic shape of the famous green PERRIER bottle, making this an exciting collaboration for the brand. We are extremely eager to showcase Starck’s art of innovation at one of the few places in Singapore that he also designed: M Social Singapore,” shares Mathieu Marchal, Regional Manager APAC, Nestlé Waters.
“The creative spirit of Starck is intricately woven into the very essence of our hotel, and we consider it a profound privilege to extend the celebration of his genius through the launch of PERRIER + STARCK. Placing this exquisite bottle within our chic loft interiors, also masterfully designed by Starck, adds an extra layer of intrigue and sophistication to our hotel,” shared Anthony Lim, General Manager of M Social Singapore.
The PERRIER + STARCK staycation package starts from $290++ a night, inclusive of daily breakfast for two, exclusive PERRIER merchandise, and S$50 dining credits at Beast & Butterflies (blackout dates apply).
PERRIER + STARCK retails at S$64 and S$345.60 for a pack of four and a carton of 24 311ml bottles respectively, while the 727ml bottle retails at S$25 for one and S$270 for 12 bottles. The bottles are exclusively available for sale at www.perrier.com.sg.
