Sake distributor Inter Rice Asia will be having a sake warehouse sale on Saturday 9 March 2019 from 12pm to 5.30pm at their warehouse premises that will feature a range of premium sakes.
This is the first of its regular warehouse sale events for 2019. Aside from sake tastings of over 35 different premium labels led by trained sake sommeliers, the Singapore-based sake distributor will also be debuting two new sake brands they will be representing – Sanzen from Okayama, and Hourai from Gifu.
Sanzen’s Kikuchi Sake Brewery began business in 1878. It stands at a corner of the traditional wholesale district in the Tamashima area of Kurashiki City in Okayama Prefecture. The brewery owner is an established orchestra conductor; he believes that the wavelengths of classical music boosts the quality of yeast during the fermentation process.
Hourai’s Watanabe Sake Brewery is located in central Japan in a beautiful small town called Hida-Furukawa located in Gifu Prefecture. In 1870, Watanabe Sake Brewery began production. Watanabe Sake Brewery is registered as a “Tangible Cultural Property of Japan”. Hourai is a brewery growing in reputation, increasing their volume by more than 4 times in less than 10 years.
Enjoy 3 glasses of sake at $10/- or opt for the free-flow option at S$45 (early bird S$35).
