Epic heat got you down? Only an epic highball can make it good then.
Jim Beam’s colourful pop-up bar (no way to miss it) at the iconic Clarke Quay fountain will cool you down without you having to step into a stream of water – thanks to a SodaStream (well it’s not but gimme some creative license here) of sorts.
From 9 October till 13 October, starting from 630pm till late, Jim Beam will be bringing its proprietary highball draft machines from Japan, which dispense super cold highballs with ‘ultra-carbonated’ soda for a fizzier and more refreshing highball. There will be five flavours to choose from, all made with fresh fruit puree or fruit slices. And if you want to make your own, there’ll be a DIY station where you can learn how.
Aside from drinks, you’ll be able to order from a curated menu featuring food from restaurants around Clarke Quay – such as Kushikatsu Tanaka’s signature fried skewers or the famous wings from Hooters. The food will be ordered fresh so you can just focus on chilling at the bar with your drinks. Highballs go for S$8 nett but order a snack and you’ll get S$2 off. That is, an order for three highballs and three snacks would mean that all three highballs go for S$6 each; you can’t get them cheaper than S$6, but it’s still cool. Pun not intended.
