Singapore’s only French omakase restaurant, award-winning Restaurant JAG will be open for the first time on a Sunday – to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Bookings are now open for Sunday 14 February 2021, when the fine-dining establishment will offer an exceptionally curated six-course lunch and an eight-course dinner degustation menu for the most romantic day of the year.
Restaurant JAG on Duxton Hill is best known for using the herbs from chef-owner Jérémy Gillon’s hometown in Savoie, France for some of the most innovative author’s cuisine this part of the world. The haute eatery won a Michelin star in 2019 with its inventive cuisine, just months after its opening.
For Valentine’s Day this year, the chef has selected a series of luxurious ingredients to set the mood, with dishes featuring freshly delivered Hokkaido Scallops, plum Boudeuse Oysters, stunning Black Kingfish Cobia, and Veal Tenderloin. The sumptuous meal ends with a luscious Aubépine herb, Rosé and Grapefruit dessert for a perfect, sweet ending.
The Restaurant JAG Valentine’s Day six-course lunch menu – which comes with an addition of Canapé, Amuse Bouche, Trou-Normand and Pre-Dessert – clocks in at $205++ per person, while eight-course dinner is $350++ per person. For an ultimate aphrodisiac dining experience, there’s also a supplementary caviar option – a 50gms tin of Royal Oscetra Caviar will be served with blinis, egg white, egg yolk, chives, shallots and smoked cream at $198++ for the couple to share.
