Singapore luxury lifestyle magazine The Peak has announced a partnership with wine subscription service The French Cellar to start a wine club where subscribers of the publication can sign up to receive limited edition wines curated by the wine subscription service provider.

Subscribers to the The Peak Wine Club – with 4 subscription tiers starting from $399 per month – will receive 2 discovery bottles each month, coupled with tasting and pairing notes. These wines are personally hand-picked The French Cellar and three-Michelin-star sommelier Nicolas Rebut, who is armed with some 20 years of experience that includes stints at French restaurants Louis XV and Le Meurice. Having tasted over 10,000 wines in the course of his career, Rebut should be well-placed to identify and recommend wines for The Peak’s readership, who tend to be of the luxury set (and for whom $399 per month is mere loose change).

Rebut (pictured right) now applies his expertise to selecting the best bottles from vineyards throughout France, from the regions of Alsace, Beaujolais, Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne, Corsica, Jura, Languedoc, Loire, Provence, Rhone, Roussillon, Sauternes, Savoie and the South-West.

The four subscription packages caters to different levels (of taste preferences and propensity to expense and luxury), spanning from the basic “Vineyard Gems” package, designed for those who would like to explore virtually unknown labels, to the “Grand Crus”, which covers high-end wines like those from Les Cedres de Belle Brise and Champagne Pouillon. The most indulgent of these is the “Cellar Icons” package, which includes rare, limited-production wines (although we reckon a 1982 Chateau Lafite won’t be one of them).

“The Peak is not just a magazine, but the embodiment of a lifestyle that celebrates sensory experiences offered by the finer things in life,” says Dennis Pua, Managing Director of SPH Magazines (which owns The Peak). “The Peak Wine Club, with its curated selections, will introduce members to vintages they may not know about but, once tasted, become valuable bottles to be shared with friends and colleagues.”

“We are proud to be partnering the No. 1 luxury lifestyle magazine for Singapore’s entrepreneurs, professionals and C-suite executives,” shares Dr Vincent Morello, CEO of The French Cellar. “With this service, we look forward to giving The Peak readers private access to exclusive wines from prestigious estates in France.”

“Every month, a unique selection of gems will be delivered directly from vineyards to their homes, complete with our sommelier’s tasting and pairing guide to complement their monthly wine indulgence,” Morello adds.
