Kitchen by Food Rebel is better known as one of Singapore’s better places to eat clean. The organic food bistro offers healthy eating options since opening in January 2016, and just last month has added an organic wine list to complement its guilt-free eats.

Kitchen by Food Rebel has teamed up with wine distributor Eiffel Markets to curate carefully selected organic and biodynamic wines from high-quality producers in France for its drinks menu. Most of the wines are sourced from the famous French wine producing regions of the Loire, Languedoc-Roussillon, Alsace as well as the Rhone Valley, and whose producers are certified to adopt organic and/or biodynamic winemaking techniques that require minimal intervention when it comes to grape-growing and vinification.

Organic farming means no chemical products in the vineyard are used – pheromones, chickens or ladybugs for example are used instead of pesticides to get rid of pests), while cow manure or compost are employed as a substitute for chemical fertilisers.

Wines showcased include the Les Points Cardinaux “Metisse” 2013 from Alsace’s Domaine Bott Geyl, an Alsace wine style known as a Pinot d’Alsace; the Touraine Sauvignon Blanc “La Bonnelière” 2015 from Domaine Plouzeau and the Cabernet Franc-dominant Chinon “Soif de tendresse” 2014 from Domaine de Noiré both of which are from middle Loire; and the Château de Brau Pays d’Oc “Pure” Pinot Noir 2013 from the Languedoc-Roussillon.

And if you’re a huge fan of Malbec, try the Château de la Marjolière’s Cahors “Tradition” Red 2008, right from the home of the grape varietal that’s today so popular from Argentina.

You can find Kitchen by Food Rebel at 28 Stanley Street.
