Globally-acclaimed, London-based spirits and cocktail experience Gin Journey makes it way to Singapore, just in time for World Gin Day.
You know Singapore’s bar scene is doing something right when Gin Journey, considered one of the UK’s leading drink experiences, has expanded to include Singapore as its first overseas outpost. In fact with founder Leon Dalloway officially relocated to Singapore to oversee operations here, Gin Journey is effectively based in the “Little Red Dot”.
Founded in 2013 as an exploration of the world of gin, Gin Journey takes guests on an interactive experience to some of the world’s best cocktail bars to discover a lineup of leading gin brands as well as enjoy some delicious gin-based cocktails. Each journey is led by a “Gin Guardian” – a knowledge champion on all things gin, if you will – who will tell the stories behind each gin brand even as guests sip on cocktails at different bars made with those gins (complete with transport provided between venues). For Singapore, expect to visit venues such as The Proof Flat by EC Proof; ATLAS, home to the world’s largest gin collection, and Asia’s all-time favourite, award-winning cocktail bar 28 HongKong Street, as well as taste a range of gins from the likes of Singapore’s own Paper Lantern (pictured), to Ki No Bi Gin, Arbikie, Ford’s Gin and Sipsmith.
“Globally, Singapore has made a name for itself on the bar scene in the last few years,” says Leon Dalloway, The Gin Boss at Gin Journey. “With so many amazing world-renowned bars, and Singapore’s appetite for all things gin, it felt like a natural progression for us to make Singapore our international debut for Gin Journey.”
Gin Journey is expected to be held every Saturday afternoon. The first Gin Journey in Singapore will take place on World Gin Day, 9 June.
