Over a year ago, The Macallan Boutique @ 1855 was set up to deliver a holistic brand experience for interested whisky drinkers. To complement the in-store experience, The Macallan has just set up its online store to enhance the brand experience and to give its customers more options when it comes to purchasing bottles. It is currently the first whisky brand to own and directly manage an e-commerce platform in the region. As a popular brand that also needs to protect its customers from genuine threats in the form of counterfeit bottles, the platform represents another safe and reliable source for its fans.

“Consumers in the region are increasingly digital-savvy and attracted by the ease of the online shopping experience. The e-commerce market in Singapore is tipped for accelerated growth and is forecasted to contribute 10.3% of total retail sales by 2022. Given the favourable business environment and the opportunity at hand, it came as a natural fit for us to pilot the online boutique here,” said Justin Wang, Regional Commercial Director, Edrington Singapore.

He added that it would be easier to understand what Macallan fans want through their online behaviour, which will help them to deliver better products and better brand experiences.

At the moment, the Macallan online store is accessible via its primary website and features their core range of whiskies, which includes The Macallan Sherry Oak 12 Years Old, The Macallan Double Cask 12 Years Old, Triple Cask Matured 12 Years and 15 Years Old as well as The Macallan Rare Cask. Accessories and glassware are also available, ranging from their iconic Chevron Tumblers, Lalique glasses to ice ball makers. The store only ships to local residents, with complimentary shipping on orders above S$100.
