Leading cider brand Somersby has launched in Singapore a new limited-edition cider, the thirst-quenching Somersby Watermelon Cider.

You don’t quite think of watermelon when you think of cider; after all, the alcoholic beverage is generally made from the fermented juice of apples or pears. But Danish cider brand Somersby has over the past few years introduced quite a number of other fruit-flavoured expressions such as blackberry and elderflower lime. Its latest limited edition may be its most refreshing cider yet – the Somersby Watermelon Cider.

Made with watermelon, red apple and strawberry, the new Somersby cider puts the supremely juicy fruit up front and centre. This seasonal cider offers a blast of distinct watermelon that’s perked up with sweet red apple and the tanginess of strawberry. And while we’re still a bigger fan of the white wine inspired Somersby Sparkling White launched last year, this summery variant should be a hit with fans of watermelon and can also appeal to those who generally find plain apple or pear ciders uninteresting.

The limited-edition Somersby cider is priced at $16.90 for a four-bottle pack, and is available from mid-June exclusively at 7-Eleven stores. It will also be made available from July islandwide at all good supermarkets including FairPrice, Sheng Siong, Cold Storage, Marketplace, Giant as well as select petrol marts.

From 12 June to 9 July 2020, customers will receive a free limited-edition cushion with every purchase of any three assorted Somersby flavour bottles including the new Watermelon Cider, or a four-pack of Watermelon Cider in a single receipt at participating 7-Eleven stores, while stocks last. Also available as a free gift from 1 July to 31 August 2020 is a limited-edition 30-inch umbrella with a minimum $30 purchase of Somersby products, including the new Watermelon Cider, at participating FairPrice, Sheng Siong, Cold Storage, Marketplace and Giant outlets.
