English sparkling wine brand Nyetimber collaborates with leading luxury hotel Shangri-La Singapore for a Nyetimber high tea experience at The Rose Veranda and The Lobby Lounge.

Looking for a high tea experience with a difference? Leading English sparkling wine producer Nyetimber has teamed up with the Shangri-La Singapore for one. From now till 15 July 2021, the luxury hotel will be offering The Nyetimber High Tea Experience at The Rose Veranda and the Lobby Lounge, where guests can avail themselves to Nyetimber’s prestigious range of quality sparkling wines as they nibble on their dainty high tea bites.

For The Nyetimber High Tea Experience, guests can get to try Nyetimber’s range of English sparkling wines by the glass and by the bottle. But the best way to do this is with a special tasting flight put together by Shangri-La Singapore’s head sommelier Britt Ng, which features the Nyetimber Classic Cuvee, Nyetimber Brut Rosé, and Nyetimber Cuvee Chérie Demi-Sec, available at both venues for just S$58++ for three glasses.

Pair that tasting flight with the special high tea set at The Rose Veranda, a hotel high tea institution since 1991. The three-course menu begins with a selection of sandwiches that you can start off with the Nyetimber Classic Cuvee, while the Nyetimber Brut Rosé is great for your any choice of main course (we went for Seared King Prawns; the tomato sauce of the orzo base the grilled king prawn rested on worked magically with the floral Pinot Noir notes from the sparkling rosé). Dessert arrives in the shape of a three-tiered stand heaped with delightful confections. We loved that the delicate sweetness of the Nyetimber Cuvee Chérie Demi-Sec helped the wine hold its own against dessert, such as the signature Rose Veranda scones.

Alternatively, you can enjoy the tasting flight over the Lobby Lounge. Here traditional afternoon tea items have a more local twist. Savoury options include Nyonya Sambal Chicken Aioli Sandwich and Chilli Crab with Otak Tart, whilst Lavender Macaroon and Violet Berries Tarte cater to those with a sweeter tooth.

“Nyetimber has been excellently received by our guests to date, and I am looking forward to showcasing the versatility of these wines – in particular, guests will find that, thanks to its sweeter nature, Nyetimber’s Cuvee Chérie pairs excellently with the local flavours served in The Lobby Lounge,” Ng added.

Nyetimber Classic Cuvee
The signature Nyetimber Classic Cuvee is a classic blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier, and makes the perfect high tea tipple.

The Nyetimber High Tea Experience at Shangri-La Singapore is available now until 31st May 2021. For this period, both The Rose Veranda and Lobby Lounge have been specially decked out with lusciously verdant floral displays befitting of the tropical surrounds of the hotel.

The Nyetimber High Tea Experience at The Rose Veranda is available from 1pm – 5pm, Thursdays to Mondays and is priced at S$78++ per set (suitable for 2 pax).

Over at the Lobby Lounge, the Nyetimber promotion is available from 3pm – 5pm daily and is priced at S$60++ per set (suitable for 2 pax), and S$78++ per set on weekends and public holidays.
