Summer Pavilion tops the TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards 2021 for fine dining restaurants in Singapore.
World’s leading travel platform TripAdvisor last month unveiled the winners of its annual Travellers’ Choice Awards for 2021, and contemporary Chinese restaurant Summer Pavilion at The Ritz-Carlton Singapore emerging on top of the list as Singapore’s leading fine dining restaurant.
The top ten fine dining restaurants in Singapore according to the TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards 2021 “Best of the Best” are:
- Summer Pavilion
- Chef’s Table by Chef Stephan Zoisl
- Odette
- Alma by Juan Amador
- Origin Grill
- Whitegrass
- Colony
- Cut by Wolfgang Puck
- Dolce Vita
- Song Garden
According to Tripadvisor, the 2021 Best of the Best Restaurants Awards are calculated based on the quality and quantity of traveler reviews and ratings for restaurants on their platform collected from 1 January 2020 to 30 April 2021 specific to different award subcategories, as well as an additional editorial process.
The dining establishments named this year are again mostly based inside hotels (as was in previous years), which is probably expected from a list that draws its data based on crowdsourced Tripadvisor reviews. The sole exception in Singapore’s top ten is independently-owned contemporary European restaurant Chef’s Table by Chef Stephan Zoisl.
One Michelin-starred Summer Pavilion and Chef’s Table by Chef Stephan Zoisl are the only two Singapore-based restaurants that emerged in Tripadvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Awards Top 10 fine-dining restaurant list for Asia. Fine-dining Japanese kaiseki restaurant Ise Sueyoshi in Tokyo, Japan took top honours in that list.
“It’s no secret that the restaurant industry has taken a hit over the past year or so, but the good news is that would-be diners all over the world are hungrier than ever to dine out again,” said Martin Verdon-Roe, general manager of Hospitality Solutions at Tripadvisor. “There is so much good out there to explore this summer and beyond and no matter what you’re craving, the Best of the Best Restaurants Awards is on hand to serve as a menu of options to satisfy your appetite.”
