True Aussie Beef & Lamb rounds up various partners for The Great Steak Escape 2022 — Family Edition to promote the best of Australian beef and lamb.

Meat lovers, rejoice! This coming June, True Aussie Beef & Lamb by Meat and Livestock Australia will be kicking off The Great Steak Escape 2022 — Family Edition. This month-long promotional campaign pulls together a selection of 10 participating restaurants, gourmet butchers, fine food retailers and other partners to promote the wonders of Australian beef and lamb.

From 1-30 June 2022, participating on-premise venues will offer their own unique spin on quality Australian meat, while off-premise supermarkets and butchers will be showcasing premium meats available for retail. They’ll be leveraging on produce from a proud meat and livestock industry built on the blood, sweat and tears of generations of farmers across Australia that today produces some of the best beef and lamb products in the world.

Last year’s edition of The Great Steak Escape saw 21 participating restaurants celebrating the wonders of Australian beef. This year, The Great Steak Escape 2022 takes on a more child-friendly spin with its family edition targeted to coincide with the June school holidays.

Many of the dishes offered by participating restaurants offer kid-friendly dishes; for example, Barossa Steak & Grill has on its menu a kid’s special of Tater Tots Meat Pie, while Sentosa’s pan-American themed grill house Panamericana has a Steak-Out Family Menu which comes as a platter that includes two beef burgers for kids, along with lamb asador and ribeye steak for the adults.

Other activations include a cooking masterclass with Fyregrill, while Park Hotel Alexandra is holding an exclusive Steak-Away staycation experience that comes as a deluxe room-stay, complimentary breakfast and a 3-course steak lunch or dinner that showcases prime cuts of Australian beef with complimentary servings of wine at The Carvery restaurant.

Participating venues include Cafe Melba, Cavemen Restaurant & Bar, Little Farms, Ryan’s Kitchen, and Surrey Hills Grocer, among others.

“Parents are constantly seeking out what’s best for their children. With The Great Steak Escape — Family Edition, they can indulge in the provenance of Australia’s rich, natural environment; and know that their little ones are enjoying nutrient-packed goodness that they can trust,” says Valeska, Regional Manager, Southeast Asia for Meat & Livestock Australia.
