One-Ninety at Four Seasons Hotel Singapore has an unveiled an all-new ‘Caviar and Chocolate Weekend Afternoon Tea’ experience.
A fan of caviar or chocolate? Or, even better, you happen to be a fan of both? Well, you might want to take note. Four Seasons Hotel Singapore restaurant One-Ninety has just announced its all-new ‘Caviar and Chocolate Weekend Afternoon Tea’, a high tea experience that’s likely to tickle both your fancies. Available every weekend until 25 June 2023, this is a special tea-time experience offered at Garden@One-Ninety – the beautiful and whimsical outdoor verandah space of One-Ninety – that puts caviar and chocolate up front and centre.
Four Seasons Executive Sous-Chef Patrick Benedetti has curated a luxurious selection of savoury delights designed to complement the flavours of caviar, as well a spread of sweet treats incorporating chocolate. Start off with a decadent line-up such as Wagyu Beef Bresaola with Smoked Burrata, Maine Lobster Brioche Roll with Organic Eggs and Black Truffle, as well as a Jumbo Lump Crab and Bottarga Tart, among other yummy bites.
For a supplement of S$30 – we highly recommend you go for it – you’ll get 10 grams of premium Caviar d’Eden Russian Caviar, served with buckwheat waffles and sour cream, to go along with your savouries.
Then there’s chocolate. Executive Pastry Chef Audrey Yee has put together some amazing handcrafted creations that incorporate gourmet Valhrona chocolate. They include the likes of Pistachio Financier with a creamy Opalys 33% white chocolate ganache, a Hazelnut Brownie made with malty cocoa-rich Jivara 40% and Passion Fruit, as well as a Chocolate Almond Choux with Manjari 64%, made from rare cocoa beans from Madagascar. Or how about the Black Forest Tart with aromatic Guanaja 70% dark chocolate, or the Chocolate and Raspberry Tart? They are sure to please any chocoholic.
Make sure you don’t miss out on Chef Audrey’s all-time favourite house-made scones. But these time she presents them with a chocolatey twist using Valrhona Caraibe 66% Chocolate and Mint, and serves them with velvety cream, lemon curd and strawberry rose preserves.
But what may just steal the show for this weekend caviar and chocolate extravaganza at One-Ninety? Cocktails. To complement the afternoon tea set, Head Bartender Sophia Kang and Bar Manager Gabriel Carlos have concocted three exclusive tipples to elevate your chocolate high. Pick from the Breakfast Martini 2.0, inspired by the flavours of orange marmalade toast, the Chocolate Glacé, a fun bourbon-based cocktail take on chocolate ice-cream or the refreshingly fizzy Amère, a spritz with notes of chocolate from creme de cacao but also floral with osmanthus.
The ‘Caviar and Chocolate Weekend Afternoon Tea’ at One-Ninety is available every weekend until 25 June 2023 from 2pm to 5pm. The set costs S$58++ per person (including a choice of Lavazza Coffee or Gryphon Tea), $S88 per person including caviar, Lavazza Coffee or Gryphon Tea, or S$108 per person including premium Caviar d’Eden Russian caviar, one craft cocktail, and Lavazza Coffee or Gryphon Tea.
