Lounge over cocktails while exploring the southern seas of Singapore with this sunset cocktail cruise on the 45-foot luxury catamaran Waga Mari.
We’re partial to sipping on champagne with wind in our faces while sailing on a luxury yacht. But a newly-launched sunset cruise promises to change our minds… and the drinks in our hands. Waga Mari Yacht Charters has just unveiled a special collaboration with Distilled LLP, a Singapore-based importer and distributor of artisanal spirits and liqueurs, to launch a new sunset cocktail cruise aboard its flagship luxury catamaran, Waga Mari.
Starting in mid-May, this three-hour cruise aboard Waga Mari brings guests around the southern islands of Singapore. While on board they can avail themselves to an international buffet spread, but – more importantly for the cocktail hounds among us – there’s also unlimited cocktails.
And not just your basic cocktails either. The cocktail menu – featuring four alcohol tipples and one non-alcoholic option – has been curated by the Mortar & Pestle bar team from The Great Room on South Bridge Road, using premium spirits and liqueurs such as Amaro Montenegro, Select Aperitivo, High West Whiskey, Old Young’s Gin and Vodka and Ron Colón Salvadoreño Rum. There’s the Ron Punch, made with Ron Colón Salvadoreño Rum and a combination of fruit juices spiced up with some ginger syrup, while the Highest West is a refreshing whiskey highball using High West Double Rye topped off with lemon-flavoured sparkling water.
Alternatively the Select Spritz is a take on the Venetian Spritz, the aperitivo liqueur combined with prosecco and sparkling water with a hint of grapefruit. For a spirit-forward option, the Montegroni is a Negroni variant put together with Amara Montenegro, Rosso Antico, and Old Young’s 1829 Gin.
Waga Mari – which can welcome up to 28 guests – leaves from ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove, and will even make a stopover at St John’s Island where guests can take to the water for a refreshing dip while dinner is being set up. They can then luxuriate on the catamaran’s expansive decks while soaking in the sunset as they sip on their choice of cocktails.
