The 8th Italian Cuisine Week will take place in Singapore from 13 to 19 November 2023 with the theme ‘At The Table with Italian Cuisine: Well-being with Taste’.

Fans of Italian food, rejoice! Italian Cuisine Week comes back again this year to regale Singapore with the taste of Italy.

As with previous editions, the Italian Embassy in Singapore and its partners – such as the Italian Trade Agency (ITA), Italian Chamber of Commerce in Singapore (ICCS), and the Italian Academy of Cuisine (AIC), among others – have put together an exciting calendar of events and initiatives that celebrating Italian culture and, particularly, Italian cuisine.

This year’s Italian Cuisine Week officially takes place from 13 to 19 November, but actually also feature various satellite events happening all the way to the end of the month. These range from various masterclasses – wine pairings and ravioli making, for example – and balsamic tasting workshops to educational talks and seminars on Italian ingredients (such as parmesan cheese) or the health aspects of the Mediterranean diet.

And, of course, Italian wine. The wines of Italy have been growing in popularity here in Singapore; Italy is the second largest supplier of wine to Singapore, with statistics showing continued year-on-year growth.

Italian Cuisine Week will kick off with Borsa Vini, a one-day B2B wine tasting event organized by the Italian Trade Agency that will see over 300 commercial partners, importers, distributors, restaurants, sommeliers, and journalists based in Singapore come together to explore offerings from 21 top Italian wine producers representing eight different winemaking regions.

  • [Wednesday 8 November 2023] A Star of Piedmont: Castello di Perno at Garibaldi

Perfect for those who love their Barolo, this four-course curated wine dinner comes paired with six Piemontese wines from this special Montforte d’Alba-based winery. S$315++ pp.

  • [Wednesday 15 November 2023] Panzano Goes To Sicily at Bottega di Carna

Pair some fabulous wines from Sicily’s iconic Planeta winery with the rustic fare of Bottega di Carna by world-famous Panzano-based butcher and restaurateur Chef Dario Cecchini. S$225++ pp for six courses.


“Some of this year’s Italian Cuisine Week events will focus on specific Italian regions,” shared Dante Brandi, the Italian Ambassador to Singapore. “Several dinners with wineries from Veneto, Piedmont, Tuscany, Lombardy, Sardinia, and Sicily will be held, celebrating the rich taste and culinary history of Italy and indulging in the flavors of each region.”
