The first-ever Italian Food & Wine Week Singapore takes place 20-26 January 2024, and will feature an entire week dedicated to Italian gastronomy.

How do you know Singapore loves Italian food? The sheer number of Italian restaurants scattered liberally across the Lion City is just one indication. It’s also why the Italian Trade Agency is extremely active in Singapore in this regard, holding the annual Italian Cuisine Week that celebrates Italian culture, and particularly, Italian gastronomy.

And here’s another festival that looks to take lovers of Italian food and wine on an epicurean adventure. The inaugural Italian Food & Wine Week Singapore, which runs from 20 to 26 January this year, is putting together an entire week of events catered towards promoting Italian food and wine products.

This new Italian gourmet fest will kick off on 20 January with an invite-only opening dinner, followed by its flagship event, a trade exhibition that takes place on Monday 22nd and Tuesday 23rd of January at Suntec Convention and Exhibition Centre. This trade-only fair puts together a diverse range of Italian food products, as well as wine and spirits, that allows industry buyers to connect and collaborate with exhibitors.

Producers featured include Marche-based pasta makers La Pasta di Aldo; Acetificio Mengazzoli, which makes Modena D.O.P balsamic vinegar; and Tartufo del Poggio, producers of luxury truffles, for example.

For wine enthusiasts, among others there’s Tenuta Cavalier Pepe and Nativ, both Campania-based wineries in a region best known for three important DOCGs – Taurasi, Greco di Tufo, and Fiano di Avellino. Spirits are on show as well, such as Italy’s signature grappa represented by Gruppo Francoli, one of the largest producers in Italy, as well as sustainable gin distillers Naturae Gin from Lombardy.

And while the trade component is not open to the public, the festival has a shopping component held at Oxley Hub that is, allowing pass holders the opportunity to shop for various products offered at the event.

Also taking place across the week will be various workshops, masterclasses, tastings, and dinners, so check out the Italian Food & Wine Week Singapore website for more, which you can find at: https://italianfoodwineweek.magaras.com/.
