Penfolds celebrates the Year of the Dragon this year by dressing up some of its premium and iconic wines in a limited-edition Chinese New Year collection.
With the dragon being possibly the most revered creature in the Chinese zodiac, the Year of the Dragon is certainly one of the most highly anticipated years in the Chinese New Year calendar. To celebrate this coming Year of the Dragon, Australia’s leading wine producer Penfolds has pulled out all the stops by launching a limited edition Chinese New Year collection that will put the roar in 2024.
The newly unveiled Penfolds Year of the Dragon collection puts four of its most premium wines from the current Penfolds 2023 Collection into beautiful festive red packaging. Each gift box features the golden silhouette of the celestial Chinese dragon splashed against a crimson backdrop, making them the perfect gift this Chinese New Year.
For those looking to impress, there’s the Bin 389 Cabernet Shiraz 2021 that comes in a heftier magnum 1.5L edition, which is good for sharing at larger celebrations. Otherwise there’s the RWT Bin 798 Barossa Valley Shiraz 2019 or the Bin 707 Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 for smaller gatherings as they are excellent paired with most festive Chinese New Year eats such as Cantonese-style roast meats.
Finally there’s the Grange 2019 for the ultimate gift, which you might want to present to someone real important like the father-in-law or that key client.
As part of the Lunar New Year celebrations, Penfolds is also collaborating with 8 By Bottles & Bottles Great World City for a pop-up from 1–29 Feb.
