Pullman Singapore Orchard will be hosting popular American smokehouse Meatsmith and artisanal bakehouse Burnt Ends Bakery for a takeover this January.

We’ve always been impressed by the contemporary Asian cuisine at Eden Restaurant in Pullman Singapore Orchard, but there’s even more reason to visit come this January. The beautiful glasshouse eatery will be hosting renowned southern American-style southern barbecue house Meatsmith for a kitchen takeover from 8 to 21 January 2024, while Atelier Lounge – the hotel’s chic bar and cafe space adjoining the restaurant – will see Burnt Ends Bakery showcase its wares.

Yes, that Burnt Ends.

The bakery arm of the award-winning Australian barbecue restaurant regularly sells out over at Dempsey, so the opportunity to find them in Pullman Singapore Orchard conveniently in the heart of Orchard Road is likely to attract ravenous fans hankering for their famous fluffy brioche donuts.

But it’s not just a matter of plonking Meatsmith into Pullman Singapore Orchard. While you’ll see many popular Meatsmith favourites on the takeover menu – think Beef Cheek Pastrami, Pork Belly Burnt Ends, Beef Brisket, and Smoked Pork Ribs – the tie-up will also see collaborative kitchen efforts blending Meatsmith’s barbecue chops with Eden Restaurant’s Asian twists. There’s the Pullman Burger, for example, which features braised pork belly and Asian slaw enclosed within Meatsmith’s signature potato buns. Or Beef Short Rib Rendang, surely a delicious clash of two diametrically different yet complimentary cuisines.

As part of the Pullman Singapore Orchard residency, Eden Restaurant and Meatsmith will also be hosting an exclusive one-night-only six-course American wine dinner on Thursday 11 January that will see each course paired with an American wine, including the 2022 Honig Sauvignon Blanc, 2021 Au Bon Climat Pinot Noir, 2018 Rhys Alesia Chardonnay, and the 2017 Seghesio Old Vine Zinfandel.

Then there’s Burnt Ends Bakery. It takes over Atelier Lounge with two weekend pop-ups – on 13, 14, 20 and 21 January – where it will showcase a tantalising array of delectable baked goods ranging from those ridiculously good donuts to savoury options such as smoked beef brisket pies and sausage rolls.

So make sure you drop by Pullman Singapore Orchard sometime from 8 to 21 January 2024 to have your tastebuds set alight by Meatsmith and Burnt Ends Bakery. Make your reservations at www.edenrestaurant.sg.
