LATINADA 2024, which takes place 23 and 24 March 2024, will bring together 10 top Asia-based Latin America chefs for a weekend of Latin American gastronomic goodness.

Tacos, ceviche, choripanes. If you love your Latin American eats, here’s some good news: Latin American food festival LATINADA is set to make a comeback later this month.

First launched to great success in 2019, LATINADA celebrated the diverse culinary cultures of Central and South America and shared the region’s cuisines with food-loving Singaporeans. The brainchild of Peruvian chef Daniel Chavez and his Mexican wife Tamara – founders of Peruvian restaurant Canchita and Spanish eatery TINTO – LATINADA is set to be even bigger and better in 2024.

For LATINADA 2024, to be held across two days on the weekend of 23 and 24 March at Dempsey, the Chavezes will gather a total of 10 Asian-based Latin America chefs for a food festival like never before. They include the likes of Chef Abel Ortiz of Hong Kong’s Peruvian restaurant Chullchick, Chef Andres Severino of Hua Hin, Thailand-based Peruvian eatery Nómada, Chef Sergio Meza of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia-based Mano, and Chef Fernando Arevalo, from Singapore’s own Bacata.

Expect an extravaganza of Latin American street food flavours, ranging from a spread of authentic nachos, anticuchos, choripanes, salchipapas, tacos, ceviche and more, washed down with spirited tipples like sangritas, micheladas, sangria, pisco sours, and margaritas. For taco lovers among us? Chef Tamara Chavez will be serving up 10 different tacos across different parts of Mexico in a recreation of the Netflix hit, Taco Chronicle.

And it’s not just food. LATINADA 2024 will also be a full-on street party complete with live music and performances courtesy of 10 Latin American DJs who will help bring the beat and energy to the festival.

If LATINADA 2024 sounds like something up your alley, get your tickets – priced at S$30 each – here. Hurry though – only 500 tickets are available each day.
