Singapore Crayfish Party #SGCP2019

On Saturday 7 September 2019 Gillman Barracks will play host to “Singapore Crayfish Party”, the first-ever Swedish style Kräftskiva to be held in Singapore.

Kräftskiva is a Swedish summertime tradition involving lots of drinking and dining on plenty of crayfish. Events company Pro Hospitality – who are also behind hotdog bar Fung Kee Hotdogs – will be hosting Singapore’s first-ever Kräftskiva with “Singapore Crayfish Party”, complete with feasting on crayfish under the moonlight with big paper lanterns and festive coloured lights. Hats, bibs, napkins and plates with crayfish motifs are a must at a ‘Kräftskiva’, and revellers can bask in the warm atmosphere of traditional drinking songs and crayfish boiled in dill brine.

For drinks, partygoers will be exposed to a range of aquavit, the traditional dill- or caraway seed-based spirit of the Nordic countries. Look forward to trying the likes of the Hven Organic Aquavit, Aalborg Jubileum Aquavit, and the Linie Aquavit Original. Alternatively there’s beer from Swedish brewery The Uncharted Brewing Company, Lanson champagne, and wines as well.

Tickets for “Singapore Crayfish Party” are S$80 per adult (or $90 at the door), which comes with 500g of crayfish and unlimited helpings at the buffet line featuring a wide spread of breads, cheeses, salads, and pies. Drinks to be purchased separately. Kids are welcome, with a ticket price of S$50 per child, or free for kids under three years old.
