Metropole drinking hole ERWIN’s Gastrobar, located at the outdoor plaza area of Marina Bay Financial Centre, holds a monthly drinks promotion to help reel in the office crowd from surrounding office after – and during – working hours. This month it’s an Auchentoshan whisky-based cocktail.
For the month of June, ERWIN’s Gastrobar will be showcasing the Auchentoshan Whisky Cocktail ($15++, main picture), which combines the single malt Scotch whisky with vanilla syrup and a house-made shrub made from green mango and then acidulated with vinegar for a tangy and refreshing tipple.
Try the cocktail with the Crispy Chicken Sliders ($12.50++, main picture) that’s also on promotion for the month, perfectly battered chicken thigh pieces clasped between sweet baby brioche buns and accentuated by mango chutney and pesto mayonnaise i.e. perfect bar food.
If you’re not into cocktails, there are Bavarian style Paulaner beers on tap, but more impressive are the affordable draught wines (above) – Italian IGT- and DOC-level wines from Montelvini of Veneto – as well as a very small but well-curated bottled wine list showcasing signature grape varietals from less known and underrated wine growing regions, such as a Riesling from Frankland River in Western Australia and even a Gruner Veltliner from Wachau, Austria; not too surprising, considering ERWIN’s Gastrobar is part of the Ponte Group, along with the likes of LeVeL33 and Kaiserhaus, which has an arm that specifically brings in various wines for its various F&B concepts.
