Flush from its award win at the Singapore World Spirits Competition 2019, Tanqueray celebrates by launching a special Tanqueray No. TEN gift pack on RedMart.

Leading London gin brand Tanqueray last month picked up two gold medals – “Best Gin” and “Best In Show Unaged White Spirit” – for its Tanqueray No. TEN gin at the inaugural Singapore World Spirits Competition, involving a field of over 70 gins as well. To celebrate the achievement, Tanqueray has debuted a special Tanqueray No. TEN gift pack – which includes a bottle of Tanqueray No. TEN (700ml) and a bottle of Fever Tree tonic (500ml) – on online supermarket platform RedMart.

Not to be confused with its Tanqueray London Dry Gin, the small-batch Tanqueray No. TEN is the brand’s more premium offering. It is distilled four times in a small copper pot still and made with white grapefruit, lime, orange, juniper, coriander and a hint of chamomile flowers as key botanicals; in fact, using entire fresh fruits such as Florida oranges, Mexican limes and pink grapefruits instead of just the peels, gives the gin its distinct fresh and zesty flavour profile. Tanqueray No. TEN was introduced in 2000 targeted at the cocktail bar space, and specifically for more spirit-forward cocktails such as the Martini and Negroni.

Which is why we’re somewhat confused that brand owners Diageo didn’t package the celebratory pack with a bottle of vermouth instead, but we suppose more people prefer drinking a refreshing gin and tonic in Singapore’s dastardly heat than a strong aperitif.

Tip – we highly recommend you add to your online shopping cart more packs of tonic water, that lone bottle of Fever Tree ain’t going to be enough.

You can get the Tanqueray No. TEN gift pack online exclusively from RedMart at a special price of S$86 (recommended retail price is S$99) for a strictly limited time. Tanqueray No. TEN is also available at Cold Storage and Marketplace supermarkets.
