Singapore Cocktail Festival 2020 will run from 1 November to 31 December 2020 with a slate of four different cocktail-focused headline programmes to slake your raging thirst.

Singapore Cocktail Festival (SGCF), Singapore’s largest festival celebrating all things cocktail, makes its return this year. Originally planned for May earlier this year, the festival saw multiple postponements due the COVID-19 pandemic. The good news is that as a lineup of drinks-related programmes for the sixth-ever edition of the Singapore Cocktail Festival has been confirmed across the months of November and December.

While COVID restrictions remain in place, the signature Festival Village – the usual epicentre of activity for Singapore Cocktail Festival – won’t be happening. Instead this year’s festival will be marked by four different headliner cocktail experiences – SGCF City Takeover, SGCF On Wheels, SGCF On Tour and SGCF X Pisco Nights – all of which are aimed at promoting Singapore’s cocktail culture.

Let’s take a look at what’s happening for Singapore Cocktail Festival 2020.

Now into its sixth year, Singapore Cocktail Festival – co-organised by experiential marketing agency The Events Artery and brand and content marketing firm Food News Integrated MarketinG – will offer a slate of fun and engaging programmes from 1 November to 31 December 2020.

Jigger & Pony

SGCF City Takeover.

No Festival Village? No matter. The SGCF City Takeover will see some 21 bars across Singapore each offer a signature cocktail inspired by the neighbourhood they are set in.

For example, Manhattan in Regent Singapore is spotlighting its Orchard Express, a spiced milk punch made with Maker’s Mark bourbon whiskey that draws its inspiration from the spice farms and fruit orchards that used to pepper Orchard Road in the past. The Burasik Old Fashioned from Ah Sam Cold Drink Stall features the traditional rice staple of the Bugis people, while Gibson’s 71 Herbs pays tribute to the array of traditional Chinese medical shops in Chinatown.

Some of the 21 participating bars include:

  • 28 HongKong Street
  • Ah Sam Cold Drink Stall
  • Barbary Coast
  • Fat Prince
  • Gibson
  • Live Twice
  • Native
  • No Sleep Club
  • Nutmeg & Clove
  • Manhattan
  • MO Bar
  • Origin Bar & Grill
  • The Old Man Singapore

Register for your free SGCF festival wristband to enjoy these exclusively created cocktails at just $18++ each; those without the wristband pay $25++ each.

SGCF City Takeover runs from 1 November to 30 November 2020.
