Tiffin Room x The Elephant Room sees the fine dining North Indian restaurant partner with the cocktail bar for a special limited time cocktail-pairing collaboration.

What happens when you pair the time-honoured classic North Indian fare of Tiffin Room at Raffles Hotel Singapore with the innovative cocktails by edgy cocktail bar The Elephant Room? An explosion of Indian spices, that’s what you get.

Tiffin Room x The Elephant Room is a special collaboration between the two, offering an exclusive tasting menu at Tiffin Room that celebrates the flavours of the Indian subcontinent in both food and drink. Available for both lunch and dinner from 2 to 16 September 2021, the four-course menu combines the culinary wizardry of Kuldeep Negi, Chef de Cuisine of Tiffin Room, with the mixology magic of The Elephant Room owner-bartender Yugnes Susela, whose bar puts together some rather cutting-edge cocktails as inspired by Singapore’s Little India district.

Tiffin Room x The Elephant Room - main course
Spice bomb – main course is a selection of soul-warming curries from Tiffin Room paired with Mr. Desker, a cocktail made with a blend of two whiskies.

Three dishes among the four courses were specially created by Chef Kuldeep for this collaboration. The starter of Jhinga Till Amrud is a beautifully fried prawn fritter with crunchy spiced peanuts doused with a lovely guava chutney that’s paired with the best-selling Buffalo Road vetiver-infused gin and tonic from The Elephant Room. This is followed by Paan Galouti Kebab, the melt-in-the-mouth minced lamb cutlet served atop a battered betel leaf. It comes with Race Course Plantation, a flavourful rum-based cocktail.

The main course a a selection of familiar Tiffin Room dishes served in their signature tiffin containers – Achari Murgh Curry, Madras Fish Curry, Dalcha Chop Masala, along with Paneer Pulao and a selection of naan to mop the curries up. For these Yugnes serves up Mr. Desker, a spirit-forward tipple containing a blend of Royal Challenge blended whisky and Amrut single malt whisky made interesting with a touch of distillate from spices normally used to marinate meat.

Finally for dessert is a modern approach to Gur Kheer, or rice pudding. This is accompanied by Sippin @ Seventy-eight, a tangy rum-based twist on the Espresso Martini using rum that’s infused with Bru Coffee, coconut kombucha, and – rather bizarrely – a touch of caramelised onion.

Tiffin Room x The Elephant Room is available daily at the Tiffin Room from 12pm to 2pm for lunch, and 6.30pm to 9.30pm for dinner. This promotional tasting costs S$118++ per guest. During this promotional period, a limited selection of the regular Tiffin Room à la carte menu will also be made available.
