The third instalment of the Long Bar Slingology sessions sees ATLAS present their Singapore Sling-inspired creation, Green Perruches.
Collaborations between cocktail bars are dime a dozen, but some are worth checking out more than others. One of the worthy ones happening right now is Slingology sessions by Raffles Singapore taking place at the Long Bar. First introduced earlier this year on the inaugural Singapore Sling Day, this year-long initiative to celebrate the national cocktail sees the iconic hotel bar collaborate with some of Singapore’s top cocktail bars. The latest edition sees it work with award-winning ATLAS.
From now till 30 October 2021, the ATLAS edition of Slingology will see the Bugis grand lobby bar ATLAS present their version of the Singapore Sling, Green Perruches. Perruches is French for parakeet, and here ATLAS does a very modern and more sophisticated interpretation of the tropical Sling. A concoction of Raffles 1915 Gin, Green Chartreuse, and elderflower, this clarified version offers bold flavours without the usual cloying sweetness.
Also available from ATLAS at Long Bar during this period are its signature ATLAS Martini and the Baroque Pearl – a clarified milk punch twist – from its ongoing La Grande Nation themed cocktail menu.
Be sure to also indulge in The Original Singapore Sling so you can compare notes with ATLAS’ version. Another good reason to order the classic? Guests can enjoy a complimentary serving of satay with each order of the original Singapore Sling, available for a limited period. Otherwise explore Long Bar’s other nostalgia-tinged cocktails such as the Gin Pahit or Planter’s Punch.
The ATLAS edition of Slingology at Long Bar runs from now till 30 October 2021. The next Slingology series will see Studio 1939 at Potato Head Singapore take over from ATLAS from 31 October to 27 November 2021, followed by Junior The Pocket Bar from 28 November to 25 December 2021.
