Bourbon Maker’s Mark partners up with bars and restaurants across town for festive food and cocktail pairings in time for the holiday season.

We don’t quite think of bourbon whiskey when it comes to the year-end festive season. Aside from bourbon-laced eggnog, it’s usually mulled wine and port for Christmas, followed by copious amounts of champagne to celebrate the coming New Year.

Not that we’d say no if we were to be offered some. But Maker’s Mark is looking the change that with a series of collaborations they’ve tied up with various F&B establishments for the coming festive season, and it’s their hope that through these culinary collaborations bourbon will one day command a seat at the dining table during Christmas and New Year.

Outlets participating in these Maker’s Mark Christmas celebrations include:

Maker's Mark Christmas at Komyuniti
The Maker’s Mark Christmas festive menu at Komyuniti is the stuff of bourbon dreams.

For example, Timbre x S.E.A is offering four Maker’s Mark cocktail and food pairings that might challenge your mind about a bourbon Christmas. Try their Bebek Penyek with Orange Butter Whisky Sauce that you can wash down with the Holiday Old Fashioned, for example. Or how about the three Maker’s Mark cocktails available at both Meatsmith outlets, each? The Coffee Boulevardier at Meatsmith Little India is the pick-me-up we need, while the Surprise Swizzle at its Telok Ayer Street outlet seems like an incredibly food-friendly tipple.

Over at Butcher Boy there are two cocktail and food pairings; we like the sound of the Maker’s Mark Pork Ribs, which should work well with the vanilla- and caramel-laced Adam’s Apple cocktail. Then there’s Komyuniti in YOTEL Singapore, which is presenting three festive cocktails – Merry Cherry Sour, for example, is a cherry take on the classic Whiskey Sour that sounds perfect for the festivities.

But if you really, really love bourbon, YOTEL Singapore is even offering a full-fledged staycation package that comes with these Maker’s Mark cocktails paired with a Christmas dinner menu; it even provides a full bottle of Maker’s Mark for your in-room enjoyment, along with two wax-dipped rocks glasses that you get to bring home.

So what are you waiting for? Make your Christmas a bourbon-filled one.
