Sentosa celebrates its 50th anniversary by partnering Brewerkz to create a commemorative beer, the Jubilee Edition Islander Brew.
There are many ways to celebrate’s one’s golden jubilee year. Some throw massive parties. Others buy themselves meaningful gifts – like commissioning artwork – to mark the milestone, while a few splurge in a myriad of ways.
Sentosa, Singapore’s premier island lifestyle destination, has chosen to make a beer instead.

For its 50th anniversary as Singapore’s designated official resort island getaway, Sentosa Development Corporation has partnered with pioneering craft brewery Brewerkz to create the Jubilee Edition Islander Brew. The commemorative brew is an extension of its original collaborative Islander Brew, a set of four Sentosa-themed beers that are inspired by different landmarks on the island.
Available only during Sentosa’s 50th anniversary year, the Jubilee Edition Islander Brew is a Lychee Pale Ale inspired by Sentosa’s “island lychee” trees (specifically the Pometia pinnata). This is a contemporary take on a pale ale, offering fruity lychee notes that are balanced by a crisp melange of tropical yet piny hop flavour.
The commemorative beer comes in two beer can designs; one depicting Sentosa by day, and another by night. It has also been certified as carbon-neutral, part of Sentosa Development Corporation’s continuing drive to transform the resort island into a carbon-neutral destination by 2030.

The Jubilee Edition Islander Brew is one of the over 50 commemorative experiences that we are rolling out this year as we celebrate our 50th anniversary with our guests,” said Mira Bharin, Divisional Director, Marketing and Guest Experience, SDC.
“As we extend the Sentosa experience beyond our island’s shores, we look forward to giving Singaporeans and guests a refreshing twist in how they enjoy Sentosa’s offerings,” Bharin added.

The Jubilee Edition Islander Brew is available at participating Sentosa dining establishments, supermarkets, and online retail stores from today until the end of the year. Participating F&B establishments include Abora, Dusk Restaurant & Bar, and Brewerkz outlets. It is retailed at Cold Storage, Fairprice Finest and Fairprice Xtra, as well as online via Shopee, RedMart, KrisShop, and Brewerkz’s online store.
