In partnership with Lotte Duty Free, Changi Airport will be presenting World of Wines and Spirits, an online sale featuring over 200 of the world’s finest wines and spirits at tax and duty-free prices running till the end of the year.

A collector of fine wines and spirits? You may want to take note. Changi Airport Group – in partnership with its liquor and tobacco concessionaire Lotte Duty Free – has launched their World of Wines and Spirits that will see some of the most premium and rarest liquids to grace an online sale.

At tax and duty-free prices too, no less.

You may remember the DFS Masters of Wines and Spirits of old. That was Changi Airport’s former concessionaire and luxury retailer DFS’ annual wines and spirits extravaganza and retail exhibition featuring some of the most prestigious wine, champagne, whiskies and other spirits in one place. The new World of Wines and Spirits by Changi Airport Group promises more of the same, just with Lotte Duty Free.

From 30 September to 31 December 2022, World of Wines and Spirits (WOWS) will showcase an extensive range of over 200 of some of the world’s most acclaimed and exclusive wines and spirits on the WOWS online portal.

The extensive e-catalogue includes rare gems from esteemed and iconic brands like Bowmore, The Macallan, Hennessy, and Penfolds. But unlike most online stores, the WOWS online site acts like a concierge-style service – once a customer indicates interest in a particular item, a Changi Airport or Lotte shopping concierge will reach out to them to facilitate the transaction for a more personalised experience.

And rightfully so. After all buyers aren’t picking up a basic Brown Brothers Moscato or a bottle of Absolute Vodka.

Really. You’re looking at the likes of a Royal Salute: The Art Edition, a special world exclusive 53-year old blended Scotch whisky release celebrating art and whisky. With just 21 bottles available worldwide, interested collectors can bid for the one single unit at WOWS at a starting price of S$150,000.

Or how about the Hennessy Paradis x Lorenz Bäumer – NBA Limited Edition? Created to celebrate the NBA’s 75th anniversary, this collaboration between cognac house Hennessy and French-German designer Lorenz Bäumer comes as a magnum of Hennessy Paradis. Just one bottle is available at WOWS – starting at a bid price of S$225,000 – out of the limited worldwide run of just 75 units.

Other special rarities include the Bowmore ARC-52, a 52-year old single malt from the Islay distillery – aged 50-50 in an American oak hogshead and a European oak butt – that will retail at S$130,000, as well as the Tales of The Macallan Volume 1: The Laird of Easter Elchies, the first of a new series from the luxury single malt brand going for S$120,000 at WOWS. Then there’s the Penfolds 2018 Superblend 802-B Imperial 6L, a Methuselah of Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz from its coveted 2018 South Australian vintage normally designated for Penfolds flagships like its Grange. One bottle will retail exclusively at WOWS for S$20,288.
