New Zealand wine brand Invivo has officially launched Invivo Air, its special wine-focused charter flight experience from Auckland to Queenstown.

Here’s a new travel experience for the self-confessed wine lovers among us. New Zealand wine company Invivo Wines first announced late December 2021 that it will be launching the world’s first winery airline. The time has finally come, and Invivo Air will officially begin its wine flight service in January next year.

But Invivo Air is no ordinary charter flight service. This is an all-inclusive viticulture vacation experience by Invivo – best known for producing award-winning Sauvignon Blanc, Rosé and Pinot Noir from New Zealand as well as its collaborations with Graham Norton and Sarah Jessica Parker – that takes guests from Auckland to Queenstown for an overnight adventure.

It sees Invivo co-founders Tim Lightbourne and Rob Cameron accompany guests aboard the Invivo Air Saab 340 plane, and lead them on a full-on winery in the sky experience that includes a guided eight-step wine tasting session at 18,000 feet. Guests will get to taste the full award-winning Invivo range including Invivo, Graham Norton wines, and Invivo X, SJP wines, as well as a range of low and no-alcohol options, and pair those wines with a carefully curated selection of local Kiwi snacks.

The two-hour flight to Queenstown allows guests to take in dramatic views of  the alpine ranges of the Remarkables and crystal-clear Lake Wakatipu, the perfect introduction to the South Island’s jaw dropping landscapes and unique wine growing region.

Upon arrival guests will be led on a vineyard tour followed by a winemakers’ dinner, after which they’ll get an overnight stay at the five-star Hilton Queenstown Resort & Spa.

“Invivo Air is the world’s first winery airline and we’re looking forward to guiding our guests through the ultimate wine lovers experience – both at 18,000 feet in our winery in the sky and also on terra firma at one of our beautiful Central Otago vineyards,” says Invivo Air co-founder Rob Cameron. “We’re thrilled to open Invivo Air to the public and deliver a truly unique experience for those that come on board.”

“We’ll be tasting some stunning drops in some truly epic locations. So, wine not come fly with us and experience business class in every glass!” Cameron added.

For its official launch, Invivo Air is offering a limited number of tickets priced at NZ$1,149 per person* (approx. S$999) available from invivoair.com on Friday 16 December, 9.00am NZT (4:00am SGT). Each ticket includes a return trip from Auckland to Queenstown on Invivo Air, one night stay at The Hilton Queenstown, a vineyard visit, winemakers’ dinner with wine matches, and all meals including breakfast and lunch, as well as transport whilst on the itinerary.
