Food Japan, ASEAN’s largest dedicated showcase of Japanese products and services for the F&B industry, is back for its 2023 edition.

Food Japan – an annual trade event that aims to bridges Japan and ASEAN by providing business collaboration opportunities and knowledge exchange in the F&B industry – returns again this year and will take place from 11 to 13 October 2023 at Suntec Convention and Exhibition Centre.

In what looks to be a resurgence for the Japanese F&B industry, Food Japan 2023 will see over 180 exhibitors from across 30 Japanese prefectures showcase at the trade event, half which of which are participating for the first time. Trade visitors can expect to see exhibitors from different aspects of the F&B value chain spotlight Japanese ingredients such as quality seasonal produce and unique prefecture specialties, innovative technology and machinery, and more. Popular product categories showcased in previous years included agricultural products, agro-innovation, alcoholic drinks, confectionery, dessert and snacks, food manufacturing, Japanese tea, kitchen instruments & cookware, processed food, and seafood.

Food Japan - sake exhibitor

Prefectural-, city, and association-level exhibitors include Akita City, Akita Prefecture, Himeji City Office, Kochi Prefecture Nagano Prefecture, Yokohama Foreign Trade Association, and more, so visitors can look forward to discovering hyper-local specialities from these regions.

If you’re looking out for alcoholic products for your F&B business, interesting exhibitors include Aichi Prefecture’s Tokoname Winery which makes wine from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, sake brewery Fukurokuju from Akita Prefecture, and Miyazaki Prefecture craft beer producer Awakihara Craft Brewery.

Singapore-based importer and distributor Inter Rice Asia will also be present, showcasing their portfolio of sakes, as well as Makato-Ya, with their range of sakes and beers.

Food Japan 2023 will take place at Suntec Convention and Exhibition Centre, Level 4, Hall 401-402, 1 Raffles Boulevard, 039593. Trade sessions run from 10am to 5.30pm on 11 to 13 October. Registration is free for trade – you can register here. It is open to public on 13 October from 2pm to 5.30pm.
