Jigger & Pony A Decent Christmas 2021

Jigger & Pony’s A Decent Christmas

We’ve always known Jigger & Pony to throw a fabulous party, and it’s no different this Christmas. Singapore’s leading cocktail bar – it landed the No.9 spot in World’s 50 Best Bars this year – has partnered Monkey 47 for ‘A Decent Christmas’, wholly decking out its space for the festivities this Christmas season. On offer is a seasonal menu with three exclusive cocktails, concocted with Monkey 47 Gin, but of course. There’s Birch Sonic, a gin highball with a touch of birch, or the Fancy Fizz, a festive twist on the classic gin fizz jazzed up with champagne instead of the usual soda water, while the Golden Bauble is an elaborate version of your classic Christmas eggnog. There’s Sticky Toffee Pudding too, if you need a sweet dessert to truly complete your Yuletide experience. Jigger & Pony’s ‘A Decent Christmas’ runs till 26 December.

Bonus: Jigger & Pony will be hosting Demie Kim of Zest Seoul on 21 and 22 December, for one of the first international guest bartending shifts Singapore has seen since lockdown.

Festive drinking experiences - Brass Lion GINgle

Brass Lion Gin Christmas GINgle

Not that we need a special reason to drop into Brass Lion Distillery – we do so love the gin cocktails in their tasting room – but when it comes to Christmas, the folks over at the homegrown distilling outfit do love to make things a little more special. Its ‘Christmas GINgle’ this year looks to spread some holiday cheer with the Brass Lion Gin Tree Experience – essentially a high tea set with cocktails and gin-soaked nibbles – as well as special festive editions of its distillery tours, gin school masterclasses, as well as a spread of seasonal cocktails at its tasting room. You can sign up for the various Brass Lion ‘Christmas GINgle’ 2021 edition activities here.

Festive drinking experiences - Chita x Chuan by Nutmeg

Chuan by Nutmeg x Chita

We don’t normally figure a small cocktail bar tucked within a Chinese restaurant to celebrate Christmas, but Chuan by Nutmeg is doing exactly that. Located within the Sichuan Chinese restaurant Si Chuan Dou Hua on the 60th floor of UOB Plaza, Chuan by Nutmeg has tied up with Japanese whisky brand Chita to offer three festive whisky-based cocktails that are perfect for the season. Cheery Cola is a most delightful whisky highball with flavours reminiscent of Cherry Coca-Cola, while Ho Ho Hoe is a creamy and fruity whisky sour with notes of lingonberry. Our favourite has to be the Pine Old Fashioned, which is a clever twist on the classic using pine tincture and Pedro Ximenez sherry.

Chuan by Nutmeg | 80 Raffles Place #60-01, 1 UOB Plaza, 048624 (Google Maps link) | 3pm to 10pm daily | 6535 6006
