Dee Atan from The Dragon Chamber emerges as winning bartender at Singapore’s first-ever Moutai Sling Competition 2022.

The Dragon Chamber’s Dee Atan emerged the ultimate winner of the inaugural Moutai Sling Competition, out of a field of five finalists in a tense last round held last week at Cuba Libre.

Organised by Moutai Singapore and EC Wines, the first-ever Moutai Sling Competition required bartenders to come up with their own unique Moutai Sling based on the classic sling cocktail using Kweichow Moutai Prince and 135 East Hyogo Dry Gin. A total of 35 bartenders from bar and restaurant venues across Singapore participated.

Veteran bartender Atan – he did stints at Summerlong, Beats Bites & Cocktails, and most recently Ju Hua Tai – won the competition with a spirit-forward cocktail, Endless Dream. He walked away with a cash prize of S$1,000, and was named Moutai Singapore’s Brand Ambassador for 2022/2023. His cocktail was also served at Singapore’s National Day appreciation event, and at the National Day Parade 2022 VIP lounge.
