Explore some of the most iconic moments of Veuve Clicquot with its ‘The Icons’ pop-up at ION Orchard running 16 to 24 October 2022.

To say that Veuve Clicquot has left a mark on the world may be understating it. Especially on champagne history.

Veuve Clicquot – named for the ‘widow’ Barbe-Nicole Ponsardin who took over her husband’s Champagne house – introduced many techniques in champagne production since its founding in 1772 that is still employed till today. Among those innovations include creating the first vintage champagne back in 1810, the first riddling table in 1816, as well as the first known blended rosé in 1818.

There’s also its influence on the world of art and design. Veuve Clicquot herself, known as “la grande dame de la Champagne”, was driven by a desire to combine aesthetics and functionality. She contributed to Veuve Clicquot’s original bottle design, and to this day the House continues that enduring heritage as a design pioneer, which can be seen in its exceptional gift boxes. In recent years it’s also collaborated with various artists. Among the latest? A partnership with Yayoi Kusama, the Japanese princess of polka dots.

Which brings us to Veuve Clicquot ‘The Icons’. ‘The Icons’ is a travelling design roadshow by Veuve Clicquot showcasing some of the most emblematic objects that have emerged from the House, and also celebrates its 250th anniversary. Running from 16 to 24 October 2022 at the atrium of ION Orchard, visitors can witness some of that Veuve Clicquot design flair for themselves.

The two icons available exclusively for purchase at the pop-up in Singapore are The Clicquot Fridge – both in the classic Yellow Label and fancier Rosé – as well as The Clicquot Arrow. The latter is a beautiful customisable arrow-shaped aluminium box for your bottle that looks like a road sign. The former is a collaboration with Italian home appliance manufacturer SMEG to help chill your bottles.

“We are delighted to bring a dose of iconic Solaire culture to Singapore in celebration of 250 years of Veuve Clicquot. Fans of the House and champagne lovers can visit the pop-up to personalise their very own Clicquot Arrow, an iconic symbol from the brand that invites you to celebrate a place that inspires you. Let your imagination take flight with the Clicquot Arrow and discover the icons of the past reimagined for the future at the Veuve Clicquot Icons pop-up,” said Nausicaa Charrier, Moet Hennessy Marketing Director for Singapore and Malaysia.

The Veuve Clicquot ‘The Icons’ pop-up runs from 16 to 24 October 2022 at the open atrium space in ION Orchard.
