Hong Kong Whisky Festival 2024 takes place on 4 and 5 May this year at InterContinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong and will showcase over 1,100 spirits including rare whiskies for tastings.

Hong Kong whisky fans, great news – the Hong Kong Whisky Festival is back for its highly anticipated 2024 return!

Proudly presented by InterContinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong, this sixth edition of Hong Kong’s favourite annual whisky-focused festival will take place on 4 and 5 May and will once again bring the city’s whisky enthusiasts together for some malt revelry. The two-day extravaganza is set to feature an extensive selection of whiskies from around the world, including various rare editions, as well as a slew of masterclasses targeted at serious aficionados and novice enthusiasts alike. Attendees will also get the opportunity to engage with industry experts, distillery representatives, and various brand ambassadors to discuss their mutual love for malt.

Whiskies represented at Hong Kong Whisky Festival 2024 will include those from many beloved Scottish and Japanese brands – such as The Macallan, Glenfiddich, Highland Park, and Yamazaki – but also showcase New World whiskies from Taiwan, India, Israel, Ireland, USA, France, Denmark, Germany, Sweden, England, Netherlands, and more.

Beam Suntory’s 100th anniversary masterclass is likely to be snapped up very quick, especially as it showcases a tasting of the Yamazaki 18YO Anniversary Edition, the Hakushu 18YO Peated Malt Anniversary Edition, and the Hibiki Japanese Harmony. Otherwise there are masterclasses from The Macallan and Glenfiddich, or various masterclasses pairing whisky with caviar, cigars, and even chocolate.

Like any good whisky festival, Hong Kong Whisky Festival 2024 will unveil exclusive festival bottlings. This year there are four of them. Festival goers can try and get their hands on the likes of a single cask 17YO Glenlivet (first fill sherry butt) by independent bottler Signatory Vintage, a single cask 10YO (port cask) from Kavalan, a 36YO Invergordon (Jamaican rum cask), and a 6YO Mars Tsunuki Yakushima (sherry hogshead).

I am confident that this year we will appeal to all whisky lovers and promote whisky education, encompassing everyone from the novice to the connoisseur through numerous masterclasses,” said Lars Ruecker, Director of Food & Beverage, InterContinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong.
