Jigger & Pony Group commemorates its 12th anniversary with an exciting two-week cocktail birthday bash running 2 to 15 May 2024 across its bars.
Ask a group of well-soaked Singapore cocktail lovers which their favourite bars are, and chances are Jigger & Pony will be mentioned. After all the pioneering cocktail bar which opened in 2012 has been among those trailblazing Singapore’s cocktail scene in the past decade, picking up a plethora of awards – such as ranking No.14 on the World’s 50 Best Bars list last year.
Over the years it’s also spawned a number of sister concepts along the way; there’s rum-focused cocktail pub Sugarhall, classy and upscale Gibson, and 60’s Japanese-themed watering hole Live Twice. Not to mention two restaurants in modern American grillhouse Rosemead and Italian waterfront eatery Caffe Fernet.
And you have Jigger & Pony Group, one of the more innovative F&B and hospitality groups in Singapore. With a particular penchant for slinging out excellent cocktails.
This May Jigger & Pony Group will mark its 12th anniversary milestone, and has planned an exhaustively exciting lineup of cocktail experiences and pop-ups across all its four cocktail bars. Cocktail-loving revellers can look forward to more than 20 renowned bartenders and chefs from around the region drop in for a total of thirteen events across two weeks running from 2 to 15 May.
Some highlights include a couple of bars that will be presenting their cocktails in Singapore for the first time. They are Bar Nouveau from Paris, fronted by well-known industry veteran Remy Savage, as well as Nouvelle Vague from Tirana – Albania’s only bar on The World’s 50 Best Bars list.
Then there’s Cosmo Pony Jakarta, Jigger & Pony Group’s first overseas outpost that’s set to be open later this year; it will showcasing a preview of its opening menu ‘Rising City’.
Indeed Jigger’s 12th anniversary bash will shine a spotlight on Indonesia’s fast growing cocktail community. “Since we announced the opening of Cosmo Pony with our partner The Union Group, many people have asked ‘Why Jakarta? What is Jakarta bar culture like?’ The best way, we reckon, is to bring the best of Jakarta and Indonesia to Singapore,” shared Jigger & Pony Co-Founder and Managing Director Indra Kantono.
“On top of acclaimed establishments like The Cocktail Club, Pantja, and Wishbone, we are hosting up-and-coming bars such as The Golden Tooth and St. Regis Bar Jakarta to showcase the quality and diversity of this rising city we’re proud to soon be a part of!” he added.
Jigger & Pony Group’s anniversary celebrations will coincide with Singapore Cocktail Takeover, a grassroots campaign to advocate discovery of Singapore’s cocktail culture running from 1 May to 12 May 2024. Also celebrating their anniversary in May is Nutmeg & Clove, which is marking its 10th year with their own slate of events.
