It seems like it’s every month that a new importer/distributor is setting up in Singapore – for the month of June, it’s craft beer and cider importer The Drinkery.
But lest you think they’re total noobs in the business, The Drinkery is actually set up by Roland Utama of Singapore craft beer retailer Thirsty together with Rick Margaritov of US-based BW Wine Group. For first batch of shipment arriving in mid-June, The Drinkery will be bringing in predominantly products from California, with beers from Lost Coast and Modern Times, as well as ciders from Ace Cider.
For Lost Coast The Drinkery will bring in 6 SKUs – Great White, Tangerine Wheat, Alleycat Amber, Indica IPA, Downtown Brown and Eight Ball Stout) in both 12oz bottles and 20L kegs. There will be 4 year-round SKUs for Modern Times, with its Blazing World hoppy amber ale, Fortunate Islands hoppy wheat beer, Black House coffee stout, and its Lomaland saison in 16oz cans. For Ace Cider there will be 12oz bottles of its Apple, Perry, Berry, and Joker ciders.
