Negroni Week 2023 runs from 18 to 24 September this year, and will see over 90 bars and other venues participating to offer their take on the classic Italian aperitivo cocktail.
Cocktail lovers, take note. Negroni Week returns for its 11th year, and for the upcoming 2023 edition here in Singapore will see a whopping slate of over 90 different venues celebrate the iconic Negroni cocktail.
First started in 2013 by Imbibe Magazine and presented by Campari as a grassroots drink-for-a-cause movement, Negroni Week has grown massively over the years to become a huge festival celebrated all over the world. To date, it has raised over US$4 million thus far for charitable organisations.
This year’s theme is ‘The Power of Timeless Bonds’, harkening to the bonds on the global bartending community, while emphasising the unique connection between Campari and the Negroni cocktail. Participating bars in Singapore will each present the Negroni in its most classic form – equal parts gin, vermouth, and Campari – but also their own signature take on it. Participating bars include familiar names such as Origin Bar, One-Ninety Bar, Tess Bar & Kitchen, Sago House, Live Twice, Jigger & Pony, and Stay Gold Flamingo, but also newly-opened ones such as TA Community, Anthology, Plume, Simply Analog, Brooklyn Bar, and Spectre.
Various restaurants are also getting into the act, including the likes of Michelin-starred Art di Sperindio, Aniba, and Etna Italian Restaurant.
Negroni Week 2023 will also see other fun activations. There’s an opening party and music night on 18 September at Offtrack, while Puffy Bois will be hosting an aperitivo night on 21 September. Campari has also tied up with IHG Hotels & Resorts for various Negroni-themed experiences, including a Negroni-centric Sunday brunch on 24 September at LUCE by Davide Giacomelli.
