Lady M Champagne Bar at ION Orchard is the stuff of tai tai dreams

Newly-opened Lady M Champagne Bar at ION Orchard combines the sweets of renowned mille crêpes purveyors Lady M and bubbly champagne.

The latest Singapore outpost of famous New York patisserie Lady M – and its sixth outlet in partnership with Caerus Holding – is possibly its most unique concept yet. It recently unveiled the Lady M Champagne Bar, the first-of-its-kind around the world for the patisserie brand. Unlike Lady M’s other dessert boutiques in Singapore, the Lady M Champagne Bar in ION Orchard also offers a fine selection of champagnes to go along with its exquisite bakes.

After all, they do say that champagne goes with everything.

Fans of Bruno Paillard, in particular, will be thrilled to know that the champagnes of the independently-owned, family-run maison take centrestage here. Here you can find the classic Bruno Paillard Première Cuvée Brut and Bruno Paillard Rosé Première Cuvée Brut all the way up to its epochal N.P.U “Nec Plus Ultra”. Other champagnes showcased include those of Aube-based grower and négociant Champagne Drappier, and if you’re feeling particularly lavish there’s those from top marques such as Louis Roederer, Champagne Deutz, and Champagne Boërl & Kroff.

You’ll find the full spread of Lady M’s confectionery creations at the Lady M Champagne Bar, including its complete range of mille crêpes. Lady M has also brought back its Champagne mille crêpe here as a boutique exclusive; it was previously a limited-time holiday special back in 2019.

But the star offering at Lady M Champagne Bar is its afternoon tea set. The Lady M Afternoon Tea, at $60++ per person, is a two-tiered affair with an assortment of delicate sweet and savoury pastries – including canape-sized Champagne and its Signature mille crêpes – to delight those who love variety. It also comes with a glass of the Bruno Paillard Première Cuvée Brut as well as your choice of tea.

Then there’s the Cake & Champagne Set, for those of a more petite gastronomic constitution. Simply opt for your choice of a slice of cake that comes with the Bruno Paillard; we do recommend the Rose mille crêpe or the Strawberry Shortcake, both of which pair swimmingly well with champagne.

But if you’re feeling more than peckish, the champagne bar also offers various savoury dishes, mainly pastas and sandwiches, to complete your meal.

It’s blindingly obvious who, nestled as it is within the open atrium on the third floor of Ion Orchard surrounded by luxury boutiques, Lady M Champagne Bar is targeted at. It’s simply perfect for that mid-afternoon tai tai meet up or a tête-à-tête with girlfriends, a place to rest one’s feet in between a hair salon appointment and a spot of shopping for the latest season’s haute couture.

And there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that.
