Hendrick’s Gin latest limited edition release from its Cabinet of Curiosities is Flora Adora, an intensely floral expression you totally saw coming from the offbeat gin maker.

It was bound to happen. Hendrick’s Gin master distiller Lesley Gracie has released a gin that, finally, totally makes sense. Her latest limited release gin is Flora Adora, which supercharges Hendrick’s signature house style – think cucumber and, particularly, rose – and making it even more intensely floral.

It’s like a cask-strength version of the original, if there’s such a thing for gin.

Hendrick’s new Flora Adora is a remarkably sensible creation, coming after other limited edition releases from its Cabinet of Curiosities that were decidedly bizarre. You may remember Lunar, her whimsical ode to the moon, or Midsummer Solstice Gin, which draws its inspiration from the seasonal celestial phenomenon. The most recent was Neptunia, a heady tribute to the sea.

For Hendrick’s fourth-ever small batch drop, Gracie was inspired by pollination at play in her garden. “I find it really relaxing to watch the butterflies and bees busy at work in the garden. It’s fascinating to me how they seem to settle on some plants more than others. Certain flowers are more enticing to the pollinators and it’s these blooms that I’ve used to create a botanical blend for Hendrick’s Flora Adora,” Gracie explained.

She then selected a choice bouquet of flowers adored by those pollinators, and used them to create her new gin. On the nose it’s an explosion of flowers, an assault of sweet and verdant botanical notes reminiscent of the most floral of perfumes our moms would deign to wear.

I highly suspect those butterflies and bees love the smell of Hendrick’s Gin.

Hendrick's Flora Adora x Caffe Fernet

Hendrick’s Flora Adora Wildflower Garden Pop-up at Caffe Fernet

You’ll soon be able to find Hendrick’s Flora Adora blooming across some of Singapore’s most vibrant bars, restaurants, and select retailers from now, but perhaps the best Flora Adora experience can be found at Caffe Fernet. Here Hendrick’s Gin has launched a two-month pop-up that has transformed the alfresco waterfront restaurant into a wildflower garden.

For this collaboration, the clever bartenders of the nouveau Italian bar restaurant has specially concocted an exclusive, limited-time cocktail menu featuring various limited-edition Hendrick’s Gin expressions including Flora Adora. During the two-month pop-up you’ll able to try, for example, the aperitivo-inspired Hummingbird, the gin sour twist that is Butterflies & Bees, or Blossom, a fruity take on the Spritz, all made with Flora Adora.

Otherwise there’s Neptune’s Ocean made with Neptunia, a gin and tonic with Dirty Martini aspirations, or the classic Gin Sonic made with the original Hendrick’s Gin.

Be sure to complement your tipples with some of Caffe Fernet’s delightful summery Italian-inflected dishes, such as the Burrata, which takes the classic Pugliese burrata and smothers it with macerated tomatoes and strawberries, or the moreish Rhubarb Panna Cotta, a creamy confection topped with orange-marinated rhubarb and toasted Sicilian pistachio.

The Hendrick’s Flora Adora Wildflower Garden pop-up at Caffe Fernet runs now till 25 June 2023. Reservations recommended.
